Requirements

- Applicants must hold full General or Specialist Registration as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Locations and Contracts

All major states and territories covered (NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA, NT, ACT, TAS). We can assist with locum placements in large tertiary metropolitan hospitals or more rural/regional settings. We can secure contracts ranging from short term locum positions through to long term, ongoing work. Permanent contracts are available.

Specific Roles

Consultant Paediatrician – Sale, VIC This is a Level 4 Obstetric service with a capability of 34 weeks. The CGH has a Level 3 Nursery. The service includes a 24 hour inpatient and emergency department service. There were approximately 430 births, with about 650 general paediatric admissions. ED presentations were 16,600 per year, with about 25% paediatric. The service operates a community paediatrics clinic 5 days per week and outreach services to Bairnsdale. The paediatric service has up to 4 specialist paediatricians, 1 paediatric advanced trainee registrar and 1 HMO. The hospital treats approximately 12,000 inpatients and 17,000+ Emergency Department patients per year. There is a 6 bed Critical Care Unit and access to visiting subspecialty services including Urology, Cardiology, Oncology, Nephrology & Haemodialysis. Surgical services are supported by specialist and general practice anaesthetists. Up to 1.0 FTE is available; part time and job share applications will be considered.

- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent
- Postgraduate clinical training and experience assessed by the RACP as suitable for an Area of Need physician appointment

Clinical Leadership Roles

Clinical Director Emergency Medicine – Warranambool, Vic We are seeking a positive, enthusiastic, and team‑oriented Clinical Director of Emergency Medicine. The ED sees over 25,000 presentations per annum and is a regional trauma and referral centre. The Clinical Director provides professional leadership, clinical governance and strategic planning for the department, including service improvement and patient flow optimization. This position is based in a great coastal location on the Great Ocean Road, about 3 hours from Melbourne.

- Full Time, On-going position with 50% clinical and 50% clinical support time
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills are essential; ACEM tier 2 training site
- Requirements: qualifications as a medical practitioner registered with AHPRA and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Emergency Physicians

Specialist Anaesthetists; IMG’s – CA & Specialist pathway doctors welcome. Locations include Melbourne/Brisbane outer metro and regional Victoria/QLD.

Consultant Psychiatrist – Melbourne

This is one of Melbourne’s largest public health services, supporting Emergency, Surgical, Medical, Maternity, Palliative Care, Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol and other programs. The Consultant Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric services to the Adult Rehabilitation stream and Mental Health and Wellbeing programs, with opportunities for part-time, locum or full-time work. The role includes clinical leadership, service evaluation, research and planning within a governance framework. Fellowship of the RANZCP or equivalent is required.

- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent

Registrar and service medical registrar opportunities include rotations through General Medicine and related specialties; Emergency Medical Registrar roles offer broad case mix and training with strong consultant support. The Emergency Department currently sees over 170,000 patients per year with 25% paediatric presentations; the department has multiple consultants and an accredited educational program with ACEM.
