The Role: We are seeking a highly organised and motivated academic staff member to join the Graduate Research team on a casual basis as a Curriculum Review and Support Officer. This position will play a key role in the review of current HDR course structures across the University and the potential proposal of a new course version.

You will:

- Review current HDR course structures.
- Manage timelines, data collation, and documentation for curriculum development and course reviews.
- Coordinate and support curriculum improvement initiatives.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders including academic and professional staff, and governance teams.

Experience

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

- Completion of a PhD.
- Strong ability to write, edit, and prepare formal documentation for both internal and external audiences to a high professional standard.
- High level of digital literacy, including experience using large corporate systems to input, extract, and interpret data, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and related applications.
- Proven ability to deliver efficient, high-quality service in a complex and deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to provide high-level support while managing competing priorities and maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective networks across a large and complex organisation.
- Familiarity with Higher Degree by Research (HDR) courses.
- Experience in course coordination, curriculum design, course proposals and/or CAPS (desirable).
- Experience in HDR supervision and/or familiarity with MbR course structures (desirable).

The above experience would be ideal, but we are open to considering other skill sets.

Benefits & Remuneration

The casual staff rate is $56.44 per hour in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement (A31). For staff on an existing ongoing or fixed term contract, a discussion would need to be had with the area to incorporate the work into the employee’s workload.
