About the role

Our host employer, Hitachi Global Air Power, provides expert air compressor solutions across Perth, the Pilbara, and all of Western Australia. Hitachi Global Air Power offers a 1st Year Engineering - Mechanical Trade Apprentice position at its Wattle Grove operations in Western Australia. This is a fantastic opportunity to start an apprenticeship career.

As an Apprentice, some of the things you will do are:

- Assist qualified trades with mechanical fitting, machine setting and fabrication tasks
- Learn about air compressors and assist with regular preventive maintenance
- Strip and clean seals
- Work with hand and power tools

This role is located in Wattle Grove, working Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm with a view to commence in January 2026. Eventually, there will be opportunity to work off‑site and travel as well.

About you

- Australian citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
- You must be committed to completing a 4‑year/Stage apprenticeship
- You will have a mechanical aptitude and be a team‑player
- Cert II Engineering and a forklift licence is desirable
- Driver’s licence and own transport required
