We are now seeking a Systems Security Engineer to join our growing Civil Solutions team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, delivery and commissioning of complex electronic security systems, supporting projects from concept through to acceptance.

The opportunity
Reporting to the Systems Engineering Lead, you will play a key role in the engineering delivery of Saab’s electronic security and surveillance solutions. You will work collaboratively with engineering, project, and integration partners to deliver secure, reliable and innovative systems for civil and critical infrastructure clients. You will:
Key responsibilities:
- Contribute to the commissioning and acceptance of civil security projects
- Develop and maintain as-built design documentation and support system integration activities
- Participate in scope definition, variation works, product demonstrations and customer feedback sessions
- Apply Saab’s approved engineering and systems development processes to ensure high-quality project outcomes
- Provide technical support to site rollout teams and internal project staff
- Manage and collaborate with sub-contractors and suppliers during installation and integration
- Undertake system design, implementation, testing and sell-off activities
- Support 3rd party system integration and configuration for security management systems
- Contribute to continuous improvement and the successful delivery of project milestones)
About you
You are a capable systems engineer with strong technical acumen and experience in the delivery of integrated security or surveillance solutions. You are equally comfortable working on-site with technicians as you are liaising with customers and design teams. You will have:
Experience & Skills:
- Strong systems engineering background in design, development or integration projects
- Experience delivering electronic security or surveillance systems, or similar complex system integration projects
- Proficiency in system design, implementation, testing and acceptance activities
- Experience working with sub-contractors and suppliers to deliver security solutions
- Knowledge of CCTV, access control, duress, perimeter detection, biometrics, and intercom systems
- Experience with IP-based security systems and 3rd party integration
- Excellent communication, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Qualification:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline
- Previous experience with critical infrastructure or large-scale electronic security installations
- Exposure to system configuration management and quality assurance processes
- Revit and CAD Modelling
