About the Role

We are currently recruiting for the role of Mechanical Technician within the West Musgrave team. This is a permanent full-time role FIFO from Perth on an 8 days on / 6 off roster. Dayshift ONLY

As a mechanical technician at West Musgrave, you'll be responsible for the following:

- Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility, and sustainable development.
- Maintaining a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensuring high quality risk assessments and utilising SAP, updating work order history and handovers.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, attending breakdowns, and running complex diagnostics/testing and fault finding of all infrastructure equipment.
- Working from schematic drawings, prints, plans, or manuals, and recording any modifications.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and assisting in implementing new initiatives constructively.
- Providing input into root cause investigation and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability.

About You

- Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certificate (Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner/Machinist, Hydraulics, or Heavy Duty Fitter)
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems.
- Certificate III in Mines Rescue (highly desirable, upskilling available)
- Basic Computer Literacy with SAP experience advantageous.
- EWP, Forklift, Dogging, Confined Space, and Working at Heights Certificates (Desirable)
