The salary for this position is $28/hour. 64 hours per fortnight. Up to $18,549 salary sacrifice + Benefits.

As a Cook in aged care, you/'re not just preparing food - you/'re creating meals that feel like home and bring daily joy to the lives of our residents.
What You/'ll Do
You/'ll be responsible for cooking meals for our residents, taking into account their individual dietary requirements and preferences. From hearty lunches to light dinners and everything in between, you/'ll be preparing nutritious, tasty meals that meet both nutritional and emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals, ensuring they cater to individual dietary needs and aged care nutrition standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment, in line with food safety regulations.
- Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and record-keeping (e.g., meal counts, temperature logs).
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and communicate respectfully with residents.
About You
You/'re a team-oriented cook who takes pride in creating food that brings comfort and care. You enjoy working in a supportive environment and can manage a busy kitchen calmly and confidently.
What You/'ll Bring
- Previous experience cooking for large groups (e.g., aged care, hospitality, school, hospital).
- Cert III in Commercial Cookery is an advantage, but not essential.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and infection control standards.
- Ability to work as part of a team and build respectful relationships with co-workers.
- Confidence in communicating with elderly people in a caring and professional way.
- Good time management and an eye for detail in meal presentation and kitchen cleanliness.
Other Requirements
- A current National Police Check.
