About the Role
- Launch your career as a Speech Pathologist with CALHN’s 2026 New Graduate Opportunities, tailored for students graduating in 2025.
- From your first day, be part of a warm, multidisciplinary team delivering patient-centred care across facilities including the Royal Adelaide Hospital and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
- Rotate through adult acute and rehabilitation services, building practical experience while developing specialist skills in dysphagia and communication disorders.
- With expert supervision and structured professional learning, you’ll have opportunities to grow your confidence and clinical expertise, explore quality improvement projects and clinical research, and gradually take on more independence, including weekend service contributions as skills expand.
- This is a role where your ideas are valued, growth is supported, and you can make a real difference to patients’ lives.
About You
You are an enthusiastic new graduate ready to begin a career as a Speech Pathologist and contribute to high-quality patient care. You bring a foundation of professional knowledge, a collaborative mindset, and a desire to learn and grow within a supportive team.
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
- Recognised qualification in Speech Pathology (or equivalent) with eligibility for full membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
- Clear, confident communication skills to engage with patients, carers and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organisational ability with flexibility, initiative and the capacity to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines across clinical and non-clinical settings.
- Commitment to professional growth—embracing ongoing development, evidence-based practice, and a culture of inclusion, collaboration and wellbeing.
