Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2025.

The Narre Warren South Campus is seeking a Secondary Maths Teacher to teach Junior and/or Senior Maths. This role commences in January 2026 with an FTE of 0.6, with the possibility of additional classes or responsibilities for candidates seeking a larger load.

Position and Culture

We are looking for a teacher who will contribute to a culture of learning that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and student engagement.

Responsibilities

- Teach Junior and/or Senior Maths as assigned.
- Contribute to the learning culture and professional growth of staff.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Be a qualified teacher and hold a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
- Be able to teach English.
- Have high level communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have current First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis Certificate or be willing to obtain these prior to commencement.
- Be able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education.
- Be willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities.

Graduate Teacher Program

Waverley Christian College is committed to providing best practice support for graduate teachers and teachers who are new to Christian Education. Our Graduate Teacher Program includes time release, mentoring, equipping for Christian Education and a comprehensive induction program that will help to develop the skills and competencies needed to become an effective classroom practitioner.
