Eligibility: Only Level 3 Classroom Teachers currently employed by the Department of Education. Must hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration, be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or hold a valid visa, and be able to provide a WA Working with Children Check before commencing.
Role
As a Level 3.3 Classroom Teacher, you will deliver classroom teaching up to 0.9 FTE, provide instructional leadership (minimum 0.1 FTE release time), deliver professional learning, mentor staff and give feedback. You will work with the principal and administrative team to implement the school's Multi‑Tiered Systems of Support, focusing on Engagement (Positive Behaviour Support – PBS), Learning (Teach for Impact) and Wellbeing (Berry Street).
Responsibilities
- Classroom teaching – up to 0.9 FTE
- Instructional leadership – additional minimum 0.1 FTE release time
- Delivering professional learning
- Mentoring staff
- Providing feedback
- Establishing and managing administrative and operational systems in the relevant area
- Engaging stakeholders in a culturally responsive manner
Qualifications and Experience
- Currently a Level 3 Classroom Teacher employed by the Department of Education
- Eligible teacher qualification and registration
- Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or valid visa
- Experience in classroom teaching and instructional leadership
- Experience with Multi‑Tiered Systems of Support preferred
- Previous mentoring or professional learning delivery experience
