City of Melbourne, Australia Vendito Consulting Full time

Business Development Manager – Luxury Design

Melbourne, VIC | $120k–$140k + Super + Car Allowance + Bonuses | Full-Time

About Our Client

Our client is a global leader in high-end design and manufacturing, with a long-standing family-owned heritage and a presence that spans flagship showrooms and premium retail partners across the world.

Australia is a key growth market, and the business has recently transitioned to a fully owned subsidiary, further strengthening its local footprint. Their flagship showrooms are central to showcasing their collections and connecting with architects, designers, and developers across both luxury residential and multi-residential projects.

The Opportunity

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing, nurturing, and growing relationships across the architecture and design channel and broader partner networks. Your focus will be on identifying opportunities, influencing specifications, and advancing projects through the full pipeline — from initial engagement and proposal through to secured deposits, delivery, and installation.

While this is an externally focused, in-market role, you will also maintain a presence in the flagship showroom when supporting partners or collaborating with the retail team. With support from the technical design and operations teams, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless client experience throughout every stage of the project.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Acquire and maintain a deep understanding of prospective business opportunities
- Build and nurture relationships within the architecture and design community to expand market reach
- Implement strategies to penetrate new projects and accounts
- Manage the pipeline from prospect-to-client, ensuring defined targets for orders, invoiced sales, and installations are achieved
- Collaborate with technical, operations, and showroom teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes
- Represent the brand in-market, attending meetings, events, and presentations to position the business as a partner of choice

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications

- Diploma or Certificate IV in Business Administration (or equivalent experience)

Experience

- Minimum 5 years’ proven success in a similar role within luxury consumer goods, premium furniture, interiors, homewares, fashion, or high-end real estate
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage complex sales cycles
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills

Values & Personal Qualities

- Integrity, agility, and a strong can-do attitude
- Commercial ownership mindset — proactive, accountable, and solutions-focused
- Ability to inspire confidence with both internal teams and external partners
- Enthusiastic, collaborative, and committed to delivering results
- Respectful and professional in all stakeholder interactions

Performance Goals

- Achieve sales order intake at defined margin requirements
- Maintain accurate and timely project and date management
- Deliver invoiced sales targets
- Drive all prospecting, pipeline management, presentations, quotations, and negotiations with support from internal teams
- Maintain accurate reporting through CRM systems, supported administratively by the finance team

Why You’ll Love This Role

- Represent a prestigious international luxury design brand with a global reputation
- Influence landmark residential and multi-residential projects in the Australian market
- Join a business that values integrity, ownership, and collaboration
- Salary package of $120k–$140k + Super + Car Allowance + Bonuses
- A role with high visibility and impact in a growing market
