About the role

We are currently seeking a Senior Paediatric Speech Pathologist for a Full Time (or 0.8FTE) position. We also offer a hybrid model of working which is a combination of workingfrom home, meeting with consumers in their natural surroundings or within our offices in Berwick, Narre Warren, Cranbourne and / or Pakenham.

As a Windermere Paediatric Speech Pathologist, you will manage a caseload and:

- deliver a broad range of evidence informed intervention strategies, standardised assessments and parent training to increase communication and active participation in social and educational settings for children;
- undertake face to face consultation and relationship building in natural environments, schools and kindergartens as well as our modern office facilities and therapy spaces;
- liaise and collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to design and deliver comprehensive support plans; and
- Provide key worker support and advice to families and children in relation to speaking, listening, understanding language, fluency and social skills.
- Provide discipline specific assessment and intervention to children aged 0-12 years and their family with a range of disabilities.

Technical Skills & Professional Experience:
You will have a tertiary qualification within Speech Pathology and hold a current registration with Speech Pathology Australia. Furthermore,you will have specialist knowledge and relevant demonstrated experience within a paediatric practice.

Key Selection Criteria:

- Tertiaryqualifications inSpeech Pathologyand currentand ongoingregistration withSpeech Pathology Australia.
- Minimum3years’ experience managing,supervisingand leading staff
- Minimum 5 years discipline specificclinical experience, with sound theoretical knowledge in paediatric practice 0-12 tosupport withstrategies for developmental delay,autismand other presentations.
- The ability to meet service delivery requirements of 4 hours/day and provide a consumer-focused,high-qualityand responsive service
- Knowledge and experience to assess children from 0 to9with a variety of clinical and developmental needs
- Knowledge and experience in the prescription of assistive technology
- Willingness to obtain Medicare Provider Registration
- Proficient in the use of ICT for such things as service delivery (telehealth), case notedocumentationand online learning modules.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and support others to meet their KPIs.
- Build trusting working relationships with both children and families in addition to the Early Intervention and Therapy Service team.
- Being open to continuous quality improvement that allows ongoing leaning and growth as part of a high performing team.
- Willingness topromote and support practices that are inclusive, culturally responsive,safeandaccessible.
- Willingness to undertake relevant pre-employment screening and checks - including NDIS worker screening check, Police Check, Pre-Employment Medical and Working with Children's check
- Right to Work in Australia e.g. Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Visa holder with full working rights
