Job Title: Practice Nurse/Triage Nurse - Cairns, Queensland.
Job Type: Permanent – full-time or part-time.
Practice Information:
The clinic is open 7 days a week from 8am to 10pm weekdays and 9am to 6pm on weekends and offers acute care and treatment for conditions that are not life-threatening but require urgent assistance.
Position Description:
This practice is seeking experienced RN's to join the team on a full-time or part-time basis. The role will be responsible for identifying and triaging suitable patients and providing front-line care while working alongside our General Practitioners.
Duties include:
1. Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments to efficiently triage patients.
2. Deliver high-quality patient care and take decisive actions for patients requiring emergency attention or experiencing health deterioration.
3. Offer healthcare-related education to patients as needed.
4. Complete all documentation accurately and promptly.
To be considered you must have the following:
1. A clinical background in General Practice and/or Triage.
2. Providing compassion, empathy and understanding to patients and their families whilst maintaining a professional approach.
3. Be a team player with strong critical thinking skills, who can work both independently and collaboratively in our dynamic team environment.
4. Effective time management and prioritisation.
5. Flexibility to work across all shifts/days.
6. Current ALS/CPR AHPRA Registration.
After Hours Requirements:
Up to 10pm, weekends and Public Holidays.
Salary Information:
$45 - $55 per hour.
