About ACC Casey

Our ACC Casey campus, is located at Skye (45 minutes south of Melbourne), and is a P-10, co-ed, Christian school with Secondary year groups being added each year until P-12 is catered for.

This full-time primary teacher role is due to start Term 1 2026.

The position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for identity, rights to work in Australia, and child protection in accordance with ACC policy.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

- Plan and implement a range of teaching programs or courses of study;

- Have the content knowledge and pedagogical practice to meet the diverse needs of all students;

- Demonstrate a commitment to improving professional practice through coaching and professional development

- Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the child safe standards;

- Participate in child safety and wellbeing induction and training provided by the school and always follow the school’s child safety and wellbeing policies and procedures;

- Act in accordance with our Child Safety Code of Conduct;

- Identify and raise concerns about child safety issues in accordance with our Child Safety Responding and Reporting Obligations Policy and Procedures, including following the Four Critical Actions for Schools;

- Ensure students’ views are taken seriously and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives;

- Model and promote the vision and values of the school;

- Teach an area of the curriculum to primary levels;

- Maintain records of class attendance and recording student progress;

- Implement effective student management consistent with the school’s strategic plan;

- Attend and participate in staff meetings as required;

- Be actively involved in regular staff devotions and prayer.

Qualifications

- Evidence of the right to work in Australia

- Proof of identity

- Recognised teaching qualification

- Clearance status of the Working with Children Check (where applicable)

- Registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)

- Statements of service from previous child-connected roles

- References from previous child-connected roles

- Relate well to staff, students and parents. You are able to inspire and manage students, and communicate effectively with parents to support a culture of high expectations

- Have demonstrated excellent organisational skills

About you

- Be able to display the capacity to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes.

- Be able to demonstrate excellent teaching as described by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

- Be able to receive feedback on your teaching and implement changes.

- Be able to effectively plan for, collect and analyse educational data, then devise appropriate strategies and interventions to improve student outcomes.

- Work within a team that has a clear Christian vision and strong Christian culture
