Are you looking to excel in your career? Barminco have an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator Health Safety Environment and Training to join the team.

This purpose of this role is to support the operational leadership teams on site with the successful delivery of Barminco Safety Management System. Ensure health and safety initiatives are followed by Barminco employees and continuously improve onsite culture and safety. This is a site-based role on a 14:14 or an 8:6 roster.

About the opportunity:

- Support the site leadership team in the effective implementation of Barminco’s safety management systems.

- Drive the execution of company-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing health and safety performance.

- Foster a strong safety culture and promote operational excellence at all levels of the workforce.

- Provide expert mentoring and guidance on HSE management systems to the site leadership team.

- Coach and develop site leaders in critical risk management processes.

- Engage with clients on WHS activities and oversee the monitoring of site-based lead and lag indicators.

- Prepare and distribute comprehensive weekly and monthly HSE reports, presentations, and key safety topics.

- Facilitate and lead incident investigations, overseeing site corrective actions and hazard reporting processes.

- Manage rehabilitation and return-to-work programs, including documentation, injured worker support, and coordination with health professionals.

- Identify and implement opportunities to improve safety, environmental, quality, and training systems and processes.

- Coordinate and conduct on-site drug and alcohol testing, fitness assessments, and hydration monitoring.

- Maintain training records, reports, and documentation to ensure compliance with corporate, site, and regulatory requirements.

- Assist site operations with risk management processes, including the development and review of JSAs and risk assessments.

- Facilitate on-site inductions to ensure all employees, contractors, client personnel, and visitors comply with site requirements.

Key Requirements:

- 5+ years experience (underground mining experience desirable)

- WHS cert IV or above

- Training and Assessing - Certificate IV

- Underground operational knowledge

- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite
