About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality nursing care across a variety of health service settings, drawing on your clinical experience to provide consistent, patient-centred services. You will be accountable for your professional standards and contribute to the development of junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence.
In this role, you will support the Nurse Unit Manager and Associate Nurse Unit Managers in leading the ward or unit, assisting with operational tasks such as rostering, staff development, and implementation of clinical improvements. Your ability to collaborate, promote continuity of care, and take ownership of delegated responsibilities will be essential in driving positive outcomes for both patients and the healthcare team.
About You
You are an experienced and registered nurse with a strong clinical foundation and a passion for delivering person-centred care. You bring leadership potential, sound judgement, and the ability to support both patients and junior staff in a dynamic healthcare setting.
- Current registration (or eligibility) with the Nursing Board of Australia and at least 3 years of post-registration experience.
- Proven ability to prioritise workload, resolve conflict, and communicate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated competence in clinical practice, including supervision of junior and student nursing staff.
- Strong understanding of the ANUM role, relevant standards and legislation, and quality improvement systems in healthcare.
