Location: UTS, Ultimo, NSW, Australia
The UTS SRC is holding its 2025 Annual General Election.
Applicants are sought for positions of Polling Booth Attendant. Whilst experience is not necessary, it may be an advantage. UTS Students are encouraged to apply. Applications may also be made by persons who are not students. You do not have to be available for all shifts.
Details
Training Day: Monday 13th October 2025, 1:00-4:00pm
Voting days are: Tuesday 14th October, Wednesday 15th October and Thursday 16th October 2025.
Voting shifts are: Morning: 10.00am to 2.00pm, Afternoon: 3.00pm to 7.00pm. Staff must be available for the whole period of the stated shifts, and must be available for at least two polling shifts.
Votes will be counted on Thursday 16 October, evening, and will continue in the following days and week. Selected staff will be asked to express interest in counting shifts.
Pay rate is $37.73 per hour.
Requirements
1. Be available to attend a paid training session held on Monday 13th October 2025.
2. Satisfy political neutrality requirements.
3. Be able to supply a Tax File Number if employed.
4. Be able to work in Australia (i.e. Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or holder of Visa with work rights)
5. Be able to work full shifts (as listed in the Polling Booth Attendant Application Form)
