The Opportunity
Ampcontrol is on the lookout for a skilled Cable Repairer to join our Thornton operations on a full-time basis. If you’re experienced in cable repairs and ready to take on a new challenge, this is your chance to make a real impact in a critical industry.
Our Cable Services team plays a vital role in supporting the mining, industrial, and commercial sectors ensuring reliable, safe electrical infrastructure that keeps operations running smoothly and workers protected.
What You’ll Do
As a Cable Repairer, you’ll carry out testing, repair, and fitting of accessories on various electric cables. Your day-to-day will include:
- Repairing reeling, trailing, and flexible cables
- Testing for faults and verifying repairs
- Inspecting and fitting plugs/couplers
- Ensuring all work complies with required standards
- Supporting general workshop operations as needed
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a hands-on individual with:
- A strong commitment to safety
- The ability to work independently and be on-call
- Excellent attention to detail and hand tool skills
- Forklift ticket – desirable
- HR licence – desirable
