Overview

Busy Tier 3 Commercial Builder are looking for a HSEQ Advisor to join the business to work in Head Office helping implement and maintain safety systems within the business. The company currently operate in a number of sectors including defence, education and commercial and deliver projects up to the $60 mil mark currently. Due to continuous project wins and company growth they are looking to add another experienced safety person to the business to work predominately from their head office which is centrally located.

Responsibilities

- Mentor staff, workers and contractors on HSEQ matters
- Actively taking part in the mobilisation of projects, governance of the risk assessment process and on-site inspections and training.
- Being the primary escalation point for site-based resources, providing them support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide advice to project teams and provide feedback to senior management in all matters relating to HSEQ.
- Training and coaching of staff on company policies, procedures and HSEQ systems.; Managing HSEQ system requirements across all sites, evaluating system effectiveness and providing site-based feedback for improvement. Working with the National HSEQ Manager to improve system usability for site workers.
- As required, participate in the company’s external audit program in relation to HSEQ including communication of audit reports and assisting the project teams to close out corrective actions.
- Attending client and external meetings, audits and inspections as required. Support to site teams in reporting and managing incidents and participate in investigations as required.
