The Opportunity

The Newstead Residences offers an unprecedented retirement lifestyle in the heart of Newstead. Elevated above the lively Gasworks precinct, it blends modern, low-maintenance retirement village living with inner-city convenience. As a Personal Care Attendant, you will provide high-quality daily care and support services for residents within our Serviced Apartments, with a focus on promoting their independence and well-being. You will enjoy fostering strong relationships with residents, their families and your colleagues to help ensure care outcomes are consistently exceeded.

We are opening Expressions of Interest for Personal Care Attendants to join our team on a casual basis. Night-shift availability is essential. Apply today and we will be in contact when positions become available.

- $33.27/hr (PT rate) or $41.58 (casual rate) + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances + superannuation

You will

- Work individually to provide safe and effective daily personal care, tailored to the resident's needs in line with their current support plans

- Ensure all residents receive kind, caring and respectful personal care that supports their choice and independence

- Provide assistance to the residents and community with tasks including (but not limited to): medical & personal support, domestic cleaning and general admin duties

- Supporting residents with recreational and social activities

- Follow all Aveo health and safety policies and procedures and report any safety, security and resident incidents

- Be passionate, trustworthy, reliable and enjoy connecting with residents, colleagues and the wider community

What you will bring

- Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or Health Services Assistance (required)

- Current First Aid & CPR certificate (required)

- Current Police Check clearance (required, however we can complete for you)

- Current COVID-19 Vaccinations up to date (required)
