Your New Role and Responsibilities
We are looking to engage a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programmer to join a maritime autonomy program for an initial 6 month contract.
Responsibilities:
- Providing selection, programming, config and installation of PLCs in industrial environments
- Verification testing and commissioning PLC projects including DC drives, sensors and actuators
- Developing solutions with IEC 61131 Structured Text
- Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and ControlLogix PLC products
- Support of PLC systems, including fault diagnosis and escalation
- HMI interfacing to plant PLCs
What You’ll Bring to Make an Impact
- Experience with other PLC brands, particularly Beckhoff, Siemens
- Experience with source code management and general coding practices for PLC
- Experience with automotive or other similar control devices used in moving machinery
- Experience with IoT and other smaller scale control devices
- Experience with CANBus - SAE J1939 and NMEA2000
- Implementation, verification, commissioning of moving machinery projects
