About this role

Make a Real Impact in Community Safety. Join Community Correctional Services (CCS) as an Advanced Practitioner

At Community Correctional Services (CCS), we work every day to reduce reoffending and support safer communities. Through evidence-based case management and rehabilitation, we help individuals address the underlying causes of their offending and create meaningful change in their lives.

We manage people on community-based court orders, post-sentence supervision, and parole. Our focus is on providing the structure, accountability, and support needed for successful reintegration into the community.

About the Role

As an Advanced Practitioner, you'll manage a caseload of predominantly complex and high-risk individuals sentenced to Community Correction Orders. Your role combines risk assessment, planning, intervention, and behaviour change work — all within a strong compliance and public safety framework.

You will also have the opportunity to lead and mentor a small team of Case Managers and Case Officers, contributing to the professional development of others and the overall performance of your team.

Why This Work Matters

We believe that community-based rehabilitation, when safe and appropriate, is one of the most effective ways to reduce reoffending. As an Advanced Practitioner, you'll:

- Hear people's stories and understand their perspectives
- Hold individuals accountable and support them to change
- Help people reconnect with their community
- Be part of giving someone a second chance

Your work will directly contribute to community safety, and no two days will be the same.

What You'll Do

- Conduct risk and needs assessments
- Develop case plans and write high-quality reports
- Coordinate services and care teams
- Deliver targeted interventions to address offending behaviour
- Support individuals to meet court order obligations
- Mentor, lead, and develop case management staff

Who We're Looking For

Whether you're already working in justice, social work, mental health, or a related field — or ready to take the next step in your CCS career — we want to hear from you.

We're looking for people who have:

- Strong experience in case management with complex clients
- Confidence and communication skills to manage challenging behaviours
- A commitment to rehabilitation and accountability
- The ability to lead, support, and motivate a team
- A genuine drive to contribute to community safety

What You'll Get

- A fair and competitive salary, with annual increases under the VPS Agreement
- Generous leave entitlements and flexible work options
- A clear and transparent career development framework
- Ongoing training, professional development, and pathways to promotion
- Access to employee wellbeing support
- Salary packaging options and discounted health insurance

You'll be supported from day one, with structured onboarding and ongoing guidance throughout your career with CCS. For queries regarding this position, please contact Kristen Gillies – Manager, Court Practice on 0438 769 775.
