We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed‑term, full‑time and part‑time vacancies that may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Kelmscott Senior High School (SHS) is a school of opportunity for students. The school offers Department of Education endorsed Specialist Programs in Agriculture and Music, Gifted and Talented Secondary Selective Entrance Program and a range of Kelmscott Academic Academy (KAA) in Mathematics, Science, English and Humanities and Social Sciences.

The Role

Suitable applicants should have the capacity to undertake a wide range of effective administration and customer‑focused support services within a challenging, fast‑paced school. Opportunities include Reception, Human Resources, Payroll, Student Services and support to other corporate services functional areas. Ideal candidates have experience in reception duties, a confident phone manner, a friendly and positive attitude, and the qualities to promote excellence and interact with parents and the wider community. Strong attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment are essential.

Selection Criteria (Four‑Page Statement)

A four‑page statement addressing the following selection criteria as outlined in the attached Job Description Form (JDF):

- Demonstrated experience in providing effective administrative support with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.

- Demonstrated experience in financial processes and procedures, including the handling of debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and/or preparing financial returns.

- Demonstrated ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.

- Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills and experience in the application of customer service principles and practices.

- Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.

Eligibility

- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.

- Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.

- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
