About the Role

Nexus Division is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Test Engineer to contribute to the quality assurance and automation framework for enterprise-level digital and web applications. The role focuses on developing robust testing strategies across web, mobile, and API layers within Agile delivery environments.

You will work with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure product reliability, performance, and compliance with software quality standards, contributing to automation frameworks and continuous integration pipelines across large-scale platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain detailed test plans, cases, and automation scripts for enterprise web and mobile platforms.
Execute functional, integration, regression, and performance testing across multiple environments.
Conduct API and backend validation testing using Postman and other tools to ensure consistent data exchange and process accuracy.
Implement and manage automated testing frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Maven, and Playwright with TypeScript.
Perform cross-browser and responsive testing to validate user experience across multiple devices.
Engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to align on requirements and testing outcomes.
Monitor defects through lifecycle using JIRA or equivalent tools, ensuring timely resolution and clear documentation.
Participate in database testing for data consistency and validation using SQL and cloud-based environments such as DynamoDB.
Integrate testing workflows with CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevOps-aligned QA practices.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior test engineers, supporting knowledge sharing and process improvements.
Maintain detailed documentation and ensure adherence to QA standards and procedures throughout the software lifecycle.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent AQF qualification).
Experience

5+ years of hands-on experience in software testing and QA within enterprise or digital platform environments.
Technical Competencies

Automation: Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Maven, Playwright with TypeScript.
API Testing: Postman, SOAPUI.
Test Management: JIRA, TestRail, Mantis.
Database Testing: MySQL, DynamoDB.
Version Control: GIT.
Methodologies: Agile, Scrum.
CI/CD: Jenkins or similar pipeline tools.
Performance Testing: JMeter or equivalent (desirable).
Defect Tracking & Reporting: Experience with integrated QA environments for issue management.
Desirable Skills

Strong understanding of modern web architectures and cloud-based ecosystems.
Experience with automation framework design and reusable test architecture.
Exposure to blockchain or digital asset systems testing (desirable).
Background in mentoring, training, and test process optimization.
Certification such as ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent preferred.
