Position: Chef – Full-Time
Salary: $77,000 – $82,000 + Superannuation

About the Role
As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of dishes while maintaining the highest culinary standards. You will work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver consistent quality, support menu innovation, and ensure compliance with food safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
1. Plan, prepare, and cook menu items in line with restaurant standards.
2. Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
3. Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation across all dishes.
4. Assist in menu development, including seasonal specials and new dishes.
5. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
6. Check the freshness and quality of ingredients, and oversee proper storage and rotation.
7. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting skill development and teamwork.
8. Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
9. Manage stock levels and assist with ordering supplies as required.
10. Work collaboratively with management to meet customer expectations and enhance the dining experience.

Skills & Experience
1. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
2. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Chef.
3. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and safety standards.
4. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
5. Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
6. Passion for culinary excellence and continuous improvement.
