Employment Type: Permanent – Full-Time.

Practice Information:
This organisation is a provider of allied health care for people living in regional, rural and remote communities. They believe a person’s health should not be determined by their postcode Provider of multidisciplinary Allied Health services largely to participants of the NDIS, although currently expanding into community aged care and private clients. The role functions in a close working relationship with other team members to actively contribute to the achievement of this practices strategic goals and objectives that include increased access to comprehensive face to face and virtual allied health care and improved health outcomes for First Nations people.

Your Skills, Qualifications, & Competencies

- Demonstrated high level knowledge and skills in contemporary clinical practice standards in rural and remote speech pathology

- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to work sensitively and effectively with First Nations communities and their leaders, respecting traditional culture, values and ways of doing business with an understanding of the health, social and emotional wellbeing issues that impact on First Nations people in rural and remote communities

- Demonstrated experience or willingness to participate in the delivery of care through innovative service models, in particular virtual health and a supervision and delegation model

- Demonstrated ability to determine priorities and manage caseload to meet agreed timelines and objectives, establish trust and rapport with clients and key stakeholders with particular emphasis on interpersonal communication skills, maintaining confidentiality and effective clinical documentation and reporting

Position Requirements:

- Tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Speech Pathology

- Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (CPSP) with 3 years or more experience

- Membership of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)

- Current Blue Card (Working with Children and young people) or willingness to apply for a Blue Card

- NDIS Worker Screening – Yellow Card

- Satisfactory National Police Certificate

- Current Drivers Licence (Qld ‘C’ class licence) – essential

After Hours Requirements:
Occasional travel including overnight stays – optional.

Salary Information:

- Competitive remuneration on offer

- Car and travel allowance as appropriate
