About the role
Hix Group is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team in Penrith, NSW. This full-time role is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of Traffic Signals and associated electrical infrastructure. You will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our region's transportation network. Hix is a BGIS Business and operates alongside BGIS.
What you'll be doing
- Carry out electrical installations, repairs and maintenance on Traffic Signals and ITS
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with traffic signal systems and components
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and tasks
- Liaise with relevant authorities and stakeholders to coordinate work activities
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to the required standards and regulations
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work undertaken
What we're looking for
- Qualified Electrician with a current Unrestricted Electrician's Licence
- Extensive experience working on traffic signal and road infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, wiring diagrams and traffic signal systems
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to work a range of shifts, Inc: Day / Night / Away
