A job to be proud of: As a Software Developer, you are responsible for the development, and integration of software as a part of St John WA’s transformation program. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to analyse requirements, help architect solutions, and implement scalable and high‑performance software. This is a 6-month fixed term full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, based in the Belmont office. What you’ll do: - Participate in the design and implementation of complex software solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and adhere to best practices. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather and analyse software requirements, providing technical expertise across the full software development lifecycle process. - Utilise expertise in programming languages used to integrate and build robust and scalable backend systems. - Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and the identification of potential issues. - Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner, providing technical support to resolve production problems. - Implement updates and patches to address security vulnerabilities, improve functionality, and enhance overall system stability. - Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into technical solutions. What you’ll need: - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - Strong understanding of software development best practices. - Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Proficient in C# .NET (or similar) programming language. - Extensive experience with software development frameworks and tools. - Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns. - Solid understanding of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (Angular, Vue) What’s in it for you?
