City of Greater Geelong, Australia Talking Health Tech Full time

Founded in Melbourne, Australia in 2012, HotDoc is Australia’s largest patient engagement platform with over 8 million app downloads in Australia.

The past 18 months have seen massive growth for our business, our team, and our community. We now work with over 21,000 practitioners around Australia, including GPs, Allied Health, Dental Practices, Specialists, and Optometrists.

Role Purpose & Context

We have ambitious goals to improve the healthcare experience for everyone in Australia with exceptional patient journeys, and we’re looking for extraordinary individuals to help us get there.

In the last decade, HotDoc has focused on becoming Australia’s leading Patient Engagement solution, which helps over 5,000 General Practice medical centres improve their efficiency and deliver a better patient experience.

In our next phase of growth, HotDoc is aiming to become Australia’s leading Telehealth provider in which we help thousands of GPs and other providers deliver care more efficiently and enable the best possible patient experience.

Role

HotDoc is looking to hire an empathetic Australian-based GP who loves new technology and is excited to be part of transforming how GPs deliver care, especially via Telehealth. This is a part-time role of up to 2 days per week, which will help us to:

1. Build out a community of engaged GPs
2. Own clinical governance and development of quality standards
3. Translate valuable product feedback from a large pool of GPs

Key Accountabilities

Ensure that our policies and quality standards enable high quality patient experience and minimise the possible risk of clinical harm. Be a custodian of patient trust and co-design frameworks for how the HotDoc platform securely communicates any clinical information.

Build a GP community.

Work closely with Customer Marketing and help us establish direct relationships with individual GPs in addition to our existing practice customers. Develop a group of early adopters who will provide responsive product feedback, and ultimately become a large engaged community of HotDoc advocates.

Help us develop an After Hours Telehealth service, which delivers high quality care and connects the patient back into their regular provider. This responsibility will require managing the end-to-end GP experience for recruitment, onboarding and meeting quality standards.

Be our Clinical Advisor.

Be a trusted source of knowledge and wisdom for all decisions that may influence patient care and communication of clinical information. Advocate for patients and translate any perceived clinical or medico-legal risk to help us make informed product decisions.

Unique Value of the Role

Build Meaningful Relationships – Cultivate strong partnerships with key stakeholders, earning trust and recognition for leadership, collaboration, and impact.

Shape the Future of Telehealth – Elevate the accessibility and quality of virtual care, ensuring a seamless and highly rated patient experience.

Strengthen GP Engagement & Brand Influence – Drive initiatives that deepen connections with GPs while enhancing and maintaining the company’s trusted reputation in the healthcare community.

Experiences, Capabilities & Qualifications

1. 10+ years experience as a practising doctor
2. 5+ years as a GP with current practising license
3. Business experience as practice owner or working as a CMO / Clinical Lead
4. Extensive experience with Best Practice, HotDoc, Telehealth, and AI Scribe solutions
5. Strong established network of connections within the GP community.
6. Proven experience preparing and delivering presentations at industry conferences and events
7. Uphold high ethical standards and act with honesty and fairness.

HotDoc is a place where you can be you.

Our people are at the heart of HotDoc. We are an employee first company and recognise that we can’t provide a great patient experience, if we don’t look out for our employees.

We celebrate diversity at HotDoc and we encourage applications from all backgrounds, communities and industries, and are committed to having a team that is made up of diverse skills, experiences and abilities.
