Job Summary:
The Clerk - Ward is responsible for providing ward administration and clerical services, admission and discharge procedures, and medical record maintenance. This includes providing a comprehensive ward reception service, preparing and maintaining patient medical records, and liaising with the Ward CNS/Ward Shift Coordinator and/or Discharge Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a comprehensive ward reception service to staff, patients, and members of the public.
- Prepare and maintain patient medical records relating to ward admissions, internal transfers, and discharges.
- Liaise with the Ward CNS/Ward Shift Coordinator and/or Discharge Coordinator in arranging patient transport through the Patient Assisted Transport Service (PATS) to various facilities.
