**In this role, you'll**:
As an innovative leader within the data governance domain, you’ll spearhead various initiatives under the umbrella of an Enterprise Data Office. Lead data governance standards and framework development and implementation, creating an ability to share and democratise data both across Transport divisions and between government agencies with safe data and safe people.

Enjoy collaborating and interacting across the organisation with a variety of stakeholders as well as managing 1 direct report and influencing indirect reports to deliver objectives and facilitate ongoing professional development, team wellbeing and engagement.

**Fixed term, full time Maternity Leave cover to Jan 2025 | Flexible Hybrid work - Team works from Elizabeth St, Sydney office/ Harvest Street, Macquarie Park office to collaborate in person as required.**

**About you**

- Lead and expand a team of data governance specialists to successfully implement an enterprise-wide data management initiative, such as data governance maturity assessment, community of practice and knowledge sharing platform etc.
- Offer thought leadership in data governance, staying informed about evolving regulations and legislation related to privacy, data risk management, and governance itself.
- Exhibit a proactive, can-do attitude, embracing change and challenges as a role model for the team, while also possessing the hands-on ability to produce the high quality deliverables and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Experience with data governance, AI & data visualization tools, such as Collibra, AWS Cloud, Power BI and Microsoft Azure ideal.
