**About the Royal Flying Doctor Service South Australia & Northern Territory (RFDS SA/NT)**

Australia’s most reputable charity, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) provides 24-hour emergency aeromedical and primary health care services to those who live, work and travel in rural and remote Australia.

Serving South Australia and the Northern Territory, the team at RFDS Central Operations exist to support happier and healthier Australians no matter where they live, work or play. We continually invest in our people, infrastructure and technology to improve our patient-centred care.

Following a significant growth and maturation period within RFDSCO, we are now seeking to grow our Fundraising and Donor Development Team to meet our ambitious fundraising targets into 2024 and beyond

**About this Opportunity**

Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, as our next Gifts in Wills Specialist, you will be motivated to lead the development and implementation of our bequest strategy with the aim of increasing donor income, deepening relationships with current and potential bequestor’s and building a robust donor pipeline.

You will be inspired to:

- Develop strategies that will continue to engage existing donors, as well as create innovative campaigns to attract new donors and encourage financial support of the RFDS SA/NT.
- a robust database (Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge).
- Identify trends to ultimately report to the Board.
- Participate in the planning, and execution of special events such as aircraft and facility launch events, open days and anniversary celebrations including participation as guest speaker to assist with enhancing the profile of RFDS SA/NT in the community.

Please note this position may require you to:

- Travel to rural and remote areas of South Australia and Northern Territory to complete marketing and fundraising activities.
- Work outside of standard business hours (7am - 7pm) on occasion - particularly during peak fundraising periods.

**About You**

You possess:

- Demonstrated fundraising experience, particularly as it relates to bequest program management.
- A high degree of self-motivation, with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a growing dynamic team.
- The ability to conceptualise an idea and see it through to completion, including in the production of relevant marketing material.
- Knowledge of the Wealthscan platform. Knowledge of the philanthropic foundation and PAF’s would be advantageous.

To be considered for the role you require:

- Membership - or membership eligibility - to the Fundraising Institute of Australia.
- Current and valid driver’s licence issued from an Australian State or Territory.
