**How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne**

The Zero Carbon Project Officer provides support to the Zero Carbon City Team including data gathering, assisting in project report compilation and measurement, managing discrete engagement projects and working with internal and external stakeholders on project deliverables.

The Sustainability Support Officer is required to liaise with City of Melbourne staff at officer level, in particular, contributing to project teams and providing advice on sustainability approaches. Strong communication, relationship building and partnership skills will be required. The position provides verbal and written reports to Councillors and management. The ability to communicate with staff is important to ensure quality of output and outcomes.

- Appropriate tertiary qualification in environment, sustainability, public policy or science or currently undertaking studies, or equivalent level of experience
- Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

- Ability to build and maintain networks, engage with community and business stakeholders and provide high quality customer service;
- Strong research and data management skills.
