- Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) is Tasmania’s largest hospital and major referral centre and has the only tertiary NNICU in the state. The Women’s and Children’s Service at RHH offers a comprehensive service including 24-hour labour ward coverage, with over 2000 births per annum, with both simple and complex care requirements. This is an exceptional and unique opportunity for a Level 5 or 6 trainee with an interest in ultrasound and high-risk obstetrics to undertake advanced training within the public and private sector. Ultrasound training in both obstetrics and gynaecology will be provided at the RHH and Women’s Imaging, and obstetric skills will be advanced through the care of high-risk pregnancies, in the Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) clinics and on labour ward.The Tasmanian Health Service is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our community. The position is aimed at trainees who would like to commence the DDU (Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound, Obstetrics and Gynaecology), and would suit both those considering subspecialty training (CMFM or COGU), or those wishing to remain generalists with a special interest.

**Salary**

$97,946 to $138,593 per annum + 10.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- _Salary range is in accordance with Salaried Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2019_

**Duties**

The Registrar is responsible for the day to day management of private & public inpatients/outpatients and provides afterhours emergency cover at the hospital as determined by the Medical Workforce Unit.
