In this permanent full time Data Platform Specialist role, you will help drive the development and implementation end to end of Epworth HealthCare’s data platform capability. Reporting to the Senior Data Platforms Specialist, you will be a key member of our Data Services team based in our new corporate offices in Richmond.

In this permanent full-time role, based in Richmond, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of Epworth HealthCare’s data platform. You will be part of the IT Database team and report to Senior Data Platforms Specialist.

You will be working with analytics experts and end users to create a data platform which will provide the capability to securely load diverse sources of system data, integrate it, and present it for analysis. You will use your design and software engineering skills to make the platform consume and provide data seamlessly using the latest data distribution and transformation methods.

**You will make an impact by**:

- Building and maintain logical and physical data models
- Collaborating with technology and business partners to identify, define, develop, test, and implement a diverse set of data feeds
- Monitoring usage of the Data Platform to identify and prevent potential performance and capacity issues
- Assisting with the tuning of ETL processes and overall database and data platform performance
- Migrating and transforming ETL components from On Premises to Azure (Future Scope)

**To be successful in this role**
You will have proven communication and problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of data technology and how it can be applied to help our diverse user base manage their businesses and provide world class healthcare. You will possess a strong practical knowledge of various traditional and modern data warehouse architectures and have extensive experience developing data warehouses, data marts, data vaults, and data hub systems in a diverse set of organisations.

**You will have**:

- 5+ years’ experience of designing and building Data Platform and Data Warehouse solutions data stores such as EDW, Datamart, Data hub, and Data Lake
- 5+ years of experience designing and building advanced ETL solutions integrating multiple diverse internal and external data sources
- 5+ years of experience creating both High-Level and Low-Level Data Platform and ETL design documents and platform data modelling
- 5+ years MS SQL Server Core PL/SQL development which include Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, SSIS Packages, SQL Agent Jobs.
- MS Azure Data Platform experience including developing using MS Azure Data Factory and Synapse (Optional)
