For over 65 years, Meals on Wheels Queensland has played a crucial role in supporting the health and wellbeing of older Australians each year, across 137 service locations. This iconic not-for-profit organisation serves over 19,000 clients across Queensland serving over 2.5 million meals annually.

Meals on Wheels is an essential service that supports nourishment and independence to communities through the delivery of a nutritious meal, social connection and a wellbeing check by our dedicated volunteer workforce. They are so much more than a meal delivery service and may be one of the only regular visitors a client receives in their home.

This new role has varied responsibilities both in the head office and across the regions to coordinate and deliver services across various regional Queensland locations to clients in accordance with Policy and Procedures, Food Safety Standards and Regulations through efficient processes and guidance from the Area Manager.

This position will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the Volunteers, Client liaison and meal logistics together with handling compliance and reporting activities.
- A demonstrated ability to coordinate the day-to-day activities of a frontline community service including volunteers, meal logistics and finances and experience working with Government programs such as the NDIS, CHSP and HCP.
- The availability to travel away from Brisbane regularly and a current open QLD driver’s license - a company car will be provided for trips to regional centres such as, but not limited to, the Burnett and Central West.
- The ability to be comfortable with routine and repetitive administration tasks and have attention to detail, comfortable with large volumes of data entry.
- Great relationship building skills with all stakeholders in order to represent the organisation professionally and positively.
- A current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- Demonstrated experience in time management with mínimal supervision and under pressure, including the ability to discern priorities, plan ahead and coordinate with others to complete tasks and be a good problem solver and decision maker.
