Have you recently finished your Cyber Security University Degree, or on the path of changing your career and completed / started entry-level cyber security certifications from bodies such as CompTIA, GIAC, ISACA or ISC2. Struggling to get your foot in the door to a rewarding and fulfilling cyber security career?

Australian Citizenship or permanent resident status required.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

Typical duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Investigate insider risks and support legal defences with forensic intelligence, utilising various tools such as Microsoft Defender and Purview, Splunk, Zscaler and Bluecoat proxies as well as some proprietary tools.
- Assisting security operations across areas such as Cyber Defence Forensics, Identity and Access Management, Vulnerability and Threat Management, Security Incident Response.
- Assisting with the remediation of control breaks against ISO27001 and Essential Eight Controls.
- Continuous improvement in updating and documenting of Standard Operating Procedures, Playbooks, and runbooks.

**Required Knowledge and Skills**
- Cyber Security Degree or commenced / completed entry-level cyber security certifications.
- Some knowledge of Windows internals: registry, processes, portable executable format, scheduled tasks, users and groups, active directory, event logs, NTFS and FAT file systems, and scripting interfaces
- Some knowledge of network protocols: HTTP, FTP, SSH, DNS, LDAP/S etc.
- Some knowledge of network infrastructure: Active Directory, Windows Server, Databases, Web Servers, Linux etc.
