Exciting opportunities exist to join Yarra City Council: Permanently and to fill a maternity leave position for 12 months in the role of Strategic Planner. As part of the Strategic Planning Team, these roles will assist in and manage a range of projects that create a strategic planning framework that reflects the needs of Yarra's growing and evolving city. You will be working as part of a fun and innovative team that is committed to an integrated team approach and working across the organisation.

What you will need to succeed:

- Tertiary qualifications in town planning or a related discipline.
- Experience in strategic planning, issues, trends, policy development and project management and the use of relevant legislation, particularly the Victoria Planning Provisions and local planning schemes.
- Ability to think innovatively to achieve good project outcomes.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver high quality outputs within specified timeframes.
- Excellent report writing, organisational and communication skills.
