**The Role**

We are currently seeking an experienced WHS Coordinator, as part of our National Operations Team.

In this role you will be required to deliver on the National Operations Safety Strategy, for our Workplace Health & Safety goals.

You will maintain and action our WHS verification schedules, drive and develop WHS training programs and prepare for our internal & external audits, for our 6 x warehouse sites (QLD, NSW, VIC x 2 & WA x 2).

You will report directly to the National Compliance Manager.

**Responsibilities**

As the WHS Safety Coordinator, the main duties of your role will include:
Workplace Health & Safety
- Maintain and ensure compliance with WHS verification schedule & strategic plan.
- Facilitate and design new training.
- Identify process improvements in line with national safety objectives.
- Investigate and resolve workplace incidents/accidents.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections.
- Develop and review SOP’s.
- Maintain SDS register.
- Manage Fire Safety requirements per site.
- Manage First aid program per site.
- Conduct reviews/incident trending.
- Liaise with interstate sites to ensure compliance with safety objectives/requirements.
- Travel Interstate when required.
- Perform other operational tasks as directed.

**Ideally you will have the following skills and experience**:

- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar type of role.
- Experience in warehousing & logistics is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication & people skills.
- Ability to influence change and drive continual improvement.
- Commercial business acumen and cost benefit analysis experience.
- Reporting & analytical skills.
- Adequate computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel & Word.
- High degree of accountability.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Prioritising, time management & organisational skills.
- Attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
