**What you will be doing**

We are seeking an experienced and visionary senior Product Development Manager to spearhead our multi-discipline team in designing, testing, and prototyping cutting-edge mechanical and electronic door products and associated hardware. As the ultimate leader of our product development efforts and part of the Australian Management Group, you will have the opportunity to shape our organization's future, drive team efficiency, and create customer-centric solutions. Reporting to the SVP & Head of ASSA ABLOY Australia, the role is full time onsite and is based in Oakleigh, Melbourne Australia.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Lead and inspire a talented team of product development professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
- Oversee quick and efficient end-to-end product development, ensuring the timely execution of our well-established and new product creation
- Utilize your expertise and experience to guide the team in designing, testing and prototyping products
- Ensure that all products meet compliance requirements and align with customer needs
- Take ownership of the departmental budget, managing resources effectively to optimize productivity and achieve business objectives
- Drive people development initiatives, cultivating a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
