First Grade, a leading recruitment and labour hire company, is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Program Advisor - Procurement on behalf of a prominent Queensland Government department. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to major projects and initiatives while ensuring compliance with government regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities:

- Analysing and advising teams on appropriate procurement and supply chain strategies for major projects to minimise risk and ensure value for money.
- Supporting project teams in preparing tender documentation for release to the market, ensuring alignment with key departmental procurement strategies.
- Assisting Tender Evaluation Panels by providing advice, analysis, and recommendations regarding key government legislative/policy and other requirements.
- Monitoring, measuring, and managing key government legislative/policy and other requirements to optimise major project delivery.
- Analysing data and trends from key result areas and measures to identify opportunities to improve and enhance current program development and project delivery.
- Contributing to the development and monitoring of contract and supplier performance, evaluation, and reporting strategies focusing on rewarding good performance.
- Demonstrating advanced skills in internal and external networking and relationships to facilitate the implementation of sound procurement practices.

**Technical and other skills**
- Procurement officer level two certification required, level 3 certification is desirable but not mandatory.
