- The role of Manager Community Preparedness is to provide leadership in community capacity building and fire safety planning and preparedness. The role is responsible for the coordination of a statewide team, delivery of risk mitigation programs, provision of high-level specialist advice, and the development of systems, policies, and procedures across multiple fire safety program areas.**Hours per fortnight**:

**Duties**:
The role of Manager Community Preparedness is to provide leadership in community capacity building and fire safety planning and preparedness. The role is responsible for the coordination of a statewide team, delivery of risk mitigation programs, provision of high-level specialist advice, and the development of systems, policies, and procedures across multiple fire safety program areas.

**Essential Requirements**:
**Pre-Employment Checks**
- Arson and fire setting;
- Sexual offences;
- Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud);
- Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception);
- Making false declarations;
- Violent crimes and crimes against the person;
- Malicious damage and destruction to property
- Trafficking of narcotic substance;
- False alarm raising.

**Desirable Requirements**:

- A qualification in an area relevant to the nature of the work to be undertaken, such as policy, education, or community development.
- Experience in emergency management or related area.
- A current unrestricted driver’s licence.
