**The Opportunity**

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Cokemaking team as a **Business Improvement Coordinator**.** As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.

The Cokemaking process is an integral part of our manufacturing operations and is one of the first steps in creating Iron and Steel. At Cokemaking, we ensure the safe and reliable coke production to deliver world class coke quality. Here, we oversee the 5, 6 & 7 battery Coke ovens operations, the Coal Handling operations and the Coke Handling operations.

In this essential role, you’ll support the Coke Plant operations by bringing your technical knowledge and providing your expertise to strive for continuous improvement of the Plant Operations. Working closely with Shift Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering and Automation teams, you’ll utilise your problem solving, monitoring and technical skills to achieve continuous digital transformation, manufacturing excellence and process improvement across the plant.

This role works Monday to Friday. When you join our team, we offer flexibility with working hours, as well as access to our Employee Assistance Program.

**What Will You Do?**

You’ll lead and support your team and build effective relationships, both internally and externally. You’ll be responsible for:

- successfully leading and contributing to a safe working environment, ensuring safety standards are never compromised
- coaching, mentoring and developing the team to enhance capabilities
- reviewing existing business processes and drive digital transformation
- identifying, coordinating and leading team-based improvement projects
