Disability Support Worker

Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. Your primary responsibility is to empower and assist individuals in achieving their goals, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life. This role requires empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
provide direct support and care to individuals, respecting their unique needs and preferences.
1. Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks..
2.Mobility Assistance: Help with mobility aids, transfers, and exercises to maintain or improve physical health.
3.Monitor and document individual progress and report any changes in their physical or emotional well-being.
4. support individuals in accessing and participating in social and recreational activities.
5.Maintain accurate and detailed records and reports of all support and care provided.
6.Attend training and professional development sessions to stay current with best practices and industry standards.
7.Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure the highest level of care and safety.
Qualification
COVID19 Vaccinated
- First Aid & CPR (Regularly updated before expiry)
- National Police Check (Completed within the last 12 months and updated every 3 years)
- Employee Working with Children Checks
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Desirable
Minimum of Cert 3 in Individual Support/ HACC/ Aged Care, etc
Manual Handling Certificate Hand Hygiene Certificate
Cert III or IV in Disability Support
