**About the Role**

This Full time, Fixed term position until the end of February 2025 within the Nutrition department is responsible for the provision of high quality nutritional care to paediatric patients and their families within the inpatient and outpatient setting.

This will include PICU, general medical / surgical units and a general outpatient clinic. It may also include other specialist/medical units as required and participation in the weekend oncall roster.

**What You’ll Achieve**
- Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient care is integrated and effective.
- Willingness to meet the credentialing requirements of the RCH generally and the Nutrition & Food Services Department.
- Nutritional care of paediatric patients (inpatients and outpatients) across a variety of specialist/medical unit
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure their understanding and that their needs and views are included in plans and actions.

Classification for this position will range from AJ1 - AJ4, Grade 2 Year 1 - Grade 2 Year 4 (base salary
per annum, plus superannuation).

**Your Skills and Experience**
- Eligibility for full Membership of Dietitians Australia
- Eligibility for the Accredited Practising Dietitian Program
- Minimum postgraduate degree Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent

**About the Department**

The Department of Nutrition and Food Services at The Royal Children's Hospital incorporates the clinical dietetic service, the Main Kitchen that caters for inpatient meals and the Central Formula Room that produces formula, enteral feeds

and fortifies expressed breast milk to meet the nutritional needs of patients. We are also a registered NDIS provider and provide a variety of nutrition supports to our patients with a disability.
