The primary responsibility of the Production Technologist is to perform Direct and Indirect activities associated with the manufacture of intermediates (media & antigen) and final vaccine material as per the Production Schedule and in accordance with local Regulatory and GMP requirements (Training provided)

**What You Will Do**

**Responsibilities include, however not limited to**:

- Manufacture Viral antigen by means of aseptic Tissue Culture techniques.
- Prepare Primary cell culture and Viral antigen using fertile SPF eggs.
- Maintain mammalian cell lines and seed stocks.
- Adhere to EHS, Animal Ethics, DAWE, OGTR and APVMA regulations.
- Gown into and work within a classified Clean Room environment.
- Perform Environmental Monitoring.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices.
- Handle hazardous materials in accordance with Environment, Health and Safety procedures.
- Implement detailed production plans in accordance with production schedule.
- Ensure good housekeeping in the work area in accordance with company and relevant quality standards.
- Participate in the introduction of innovative process or technology improvements that standardise and optimise manufacturing to support growth and advancing technologies.
- Perform occasional shift work and weekend work as required.

**What You Must have**
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent qualifications (advantageous)
- TAFE Science qualifications, alongside a passion a for science
- Experience working in a regulated and or manufacturing environment (advantageous not essential)
- Understanding of GMP and Quality Systems
- Basic computer skills (Word/Outlook/Excel)
- Strong verbal and written communication, organisation and teamwork skills
- Understanding of Aseptic Processes and GMP behaviours
- Basic Math and exposure to Data Analysis
