Celebrating 21 years, Install A Gadget is Perth’s premier 12-volt specialist in the caravan and camping Industry. They design and build off-the-grid battery and solar power systems and install an array of 12-volt accessories for caravans, 4WD’s, camper trailers, motorhomes etc.

Install a Gadget are a busy, small family business, looking for an enthusiastic junior with a solid work ethic and passion for a career in the Recreational Vehicle and Auto Electrical Accessory Industry.

Install A Gadget is known for exceptional quality so the successful applicant will have a sharp eye for detail and a strong drive for excellence.

**Please note: This is NOT an Automotive Electrician Apprenticeship.**

**Overview of the job**

A mix of TAFE and on-the-job training installing 12 volt accessories and battery systems to Recreational Vehicles, progressing to perform more complex installations on completion of the Traineeship.
- Installer and Workshop General Hand
- Full-time. Min 40 hours a week
- Two-year Traineeship to become a Licensed Motor Vehicle Repairer for Electrical Accessory Fitting Work (ELW)
- Training Provided - TAFE Certificate II in Automotive Electrical Technology and on the job training provided by owner Paul Kearns who boasts 35 years of experience.
- School leaver - OLNA or NAPLAN 9 Band 8
- Some Tools Provided

**Duties Include**:

- Attend TAFE on designated days for the duration of the course and pass with competency.
- Install 12 volt accessories such as brake controllers, solar panels, reversing cameras, battery systems and battery chargers etc.
- Follow instructions with careful attention to detail
- Assist co-workers with installations as required
- Assist with stock control
- Cleaning interiors of vehicles after completion of job
- General workshop cleaning
- General duties as required
- Working as a team
- Customer service
