My client is a large global clothing apparel company, which was originally founded in in Asia in 1949 as a têxtiles manufacturer. Now it is a global brand with over 1000 stores around the world. Redefining clothing, with a focus on quality and têxtiles which has been unwavered since the company’s origins in 1949.

**THE ROLE - HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER**
- Coach in a structured manner and be a trusted advisor to the respective business leaders and associated teams in all people related matters.
- Work in collaboration with stakeholders to focus on talent management and development. With a strong focus of growing the skills, knowledge, and experience of current and future leaders within the business.
- Identify levers that impact business performance, research and evaluate potential solutions and make recommendations that will enable business leaders to make the right people decisions.
- Contribute to improving and facilitate a variety of HR programs/processes in with the People priorities to ensure that the respective business area’s current and future people requirements are met.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Coach and be a trusted advisor to the respective business leaders and associated teams in all related people matters.
- In collaboration with the Store Operations and FRMIC, determine the right workforce model or structure to deliver the priorities of the business in line with business strategy.
- Work with business leaders to develop IDPs and Succession Plans for upcoming and existing talent to ensure there is pipeline of talent ready in line with business needs/strategy.
- In collaboration with FRMIC identify training needs and competency gaps and collaborate with them and the business leaders to devise the right solution to close the gap.
- In alignment with FRMIC and business leaders coach new and upcoming talent to help them embed the learnings from initial training through FRMIC.
- In collaboration with business leaders work with them on engagement activities and provide recommendations and support the respective business by developing and delivering the appropriate people solutions.
- Management of complex ER/IR cases which are escalated to via the HR Hub team
- Develop an annual people process cadence including recruitment, induction& onboarding, Talent, Succession and Exit.
- Identify people related gaps (eg: turnover, absenteeism, high OT) impacting business performance, conduct the necessary research and provide recommendations and support the respective business by developing and delivering the appropriate people solutions.

**KNOWLEDGE**
- Qualification in Human Resources Manager and/or physiology
- Desired, knowledge of how Japanese culture
- Strong business acumen
- Understanding of cultural drivers

**SKILLS**
- Business partnering and influences skills
- Strong communication / relationship skills
- Navigating complexity and competing stakeholder needs
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Business acumen
- Ability to link HR initiatives to business outcomes
- Strong PC skills in particular Excel, an advantage

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Ideally 5 years’ experience HR generalist, with a focus on talent development, culture, leading change
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Prior experience working within an Asian cultured business
- Prior retail experience desirable
- Workday and/or other HRIS system experience
