We are seeking an enthusiastic Banking Officer who will be responsible for the timely processing of Council receipts/payments and bank reconciliations.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

**Key activities of this role include**:

- Contributing to the day-to-day operations of the Treasury and Taxation team by receipting of Council funds, liaising with external stakeholders to identify and receipt to the various systems within council, process non-system payments, reconciling bank statements to system transactions and investigating anomalies;
- Assisting with investing surplus funds held by Council in accordance with Council and Local Government guidelines;
- Contributing to the maintenance, reconciliation, processing and reporting of all aspects of financial accounting records ensuring integrity and accuracy of information.

**About You**
- Certificate IV in Business Administration or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development
- You may have had a similar role in a large and complex organisation
- You bring experience with accounting software packages/ERP in cash management
- You have solid accounting, administrative and data entry skills including high level of accuracy with a focus on attention to detail
- You bring sound analytical and numerical skills
- You bring systems expertise and the ability to scope and specify systems changes to enhance capability and effectiveness of the financial accounting function
- You engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $58.8k to $70.6k per annum dependent on skills and experience + 10.5% superannuation.

A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role** **with flexible/hybrid working arrangements available.
