- 5 week specialist project placement

We are currently seeking an experienced Administration officer to support the day to day safety operations of a manufacturing company in Hemmant.. The Safety Officer’s primary aim is to assist in the compliance with Safety guidelines within the Safety Management system, implementation and management of the safety program during a 5 week relocation project.

**The role will be primarily responsible for the following accountabilities**:

- Assist in complete risk assessments, audits and safety document
- WHS audits and inspections are conducted as per agreed schedule, and that appropriate risk identification, assessment and control measures are in place
- Conduct inductions and induction related correspondence
- Assist in incident management and incident investigations
- Assist in facilitating alcohol and drug testing where required
- Coordinate, facilitate and manage safety forum, toolbox talk schedule, agendas and minutes
- Communicate and promote WHS programs to workers
- Assist in compliance processes related to visitors and any usage of contractors, including safety inductions
- Conduct safety training for workers as directed by safety manager
- Any other duty as reasonably directed by safety manager
- Carry out all duties in line with client’s policies, procedures and processes as amended

**Qualifications and Experience Required**:

- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience in conducting safety audits
- Demonstrated experience with inductions and tool box talks
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and present training sessions
- Experience with administrative and clerical duties
