**Purpose of Position**
The National Head of Planning is one of the most important roles in the agency. The role will lead a team of approx. 20 planners in 3 markets who work in partnership with our 12 person strong strategy team, and our team of analysts.

You will be responsible for elevating the planning product and the output of our amazing channel planners, delivering channel/audience thinking that delivers on the strategies that we develop for our enviable client base.

Data is the driver. Our focus sits firmly within evidence based planning that translates to real business outcomes. A sound theoretical understanding of established marketing dogma, such as the EBI’s Laws of Growth, Sufficiency, Portfolio allocation, media allocation, optimization, ROIs, response curves, hero-halo effect etc is paramount. However, we also have a big innovation /creativity agenda at Mediacom (as evidenced by our long awards list) so the NHOP will, ideally be part left brain and part right brain.

**Responsibilities**

Weekly WIPs with team + all directs individually, action plan setting & tracking
Training & skillset development, personnel growth plan development
Team development, Ongoing guidance on all client deliverables
Resource planning at national level, Retention planning, hiring
Direct ongoing QC-ing of the gold briefs (in conjunction with CSO), development of national ‘product plan’
Development of playbooks for all products, integration of Planning and Strategy products
Ongoing product innovation and new product development
Inclusion of ongoing client requirements in the product (e.g. Video Neutral Planning, Attention Planning, etc)
Ongoing integration with MC Planning and SIU network teams in Singapore and London
Direct Planning relationship ownership with the Media Heads / CMOs of the top-5 clients in all markets
Collaborate with ExCo in landing all new business pitches
Work with the CSO to be be the glue between Strategy and planning communities, bringing them together both as experts, as well as colleagues
